“Fit for the whole family and light as a feather”

Si, Hannah and their lovely family of 5 had been living full time in a large Mercedes panel van for some time. As the family grew they knew they needed more space so gave us a call. Like many people they couldn’t find something to fit their needs; so we threw away the rulebook and decided we’d build them something from scratch. The “Love Shack” was probably our first large coach-build in this style, and despite on the surface looking like many other boxes, we believe it to be the first of it’s kind. This is because rather than the usual heavy steel framework, Jake painstakingly constructed the whole thing from aluminium box section. Clad in super lightweight cedar - once it was finished the box itself can actually be lifted from the base by hand! This huge effort to save weight, and the massive extra footprint afforded by the size of the box meant the famous five-some could fit out the inside to their own spec themselves and enjoy the space they had sought for so long.
